REFLECTION
Experience
This group project was a valuable experience that allowed us to explore different ways of presenting information effectively. Initially, I really enjoyed sketching the storyboard and felt that it could have been a cute and engaging way to convey the message. However, we later realized that our approach leaned more toward animation rather than an infographic, which didn’t align with the requirements. We considered keeping some parts of the original concept while integrating more factual content, but in the end, it would have been too confusing and unnecessary. So, we decided to completely redo the storyboard and script to ensure it fit the criteria.
Completing the storyboard was crucial because it served as a foundation for the rest of the team to proceed with illustration and animation. Once our part was finalized, the other members could smoothly move forward with their tasks. Despite the initial setback, the process was a learning experience, and I didn’t see it as a bad mistake—just something that helped us improve. My groupmates were supportive, and everyone contributed fairly to their respective parts, making the workflow smooth.
Looking back, I feel that this project strengthened my ability to refine content and balance information with visuals. We had to think about how to make the message clear while keeping it engaging, using elements like charts, costs, and key statistics. Seeing the final video come together was really rewarding—the illustrations and animations turned out adorable, and the overall outcome was well-structured.
This project also highlighted the importance of adaptability and collaboration. Even though we had to make major changes midway, we managed to adjust and create a final product that met the requirements while still being visually appealing. In the end, it was a meaningful experience, and I appreciate the teamwork that went into making the infographic video a success.
