REFLECTION
Throughout my journey in Illustration and Visual Narrative, AI has been instrumental in facilitating my exploration and learning even though I initially struggled. The first assignment, starting with the exercises, left me feeling pretty lost. I couldn't keep up in class due to a lack of focus. Thankfully, the recorded lectures came to my rescue, providing a much-needed understanding of the basics of illustrating with AI.
Moving on to the next task, the challenge was in coming up with storytelling ideas and visualizing them independently based on our research. Creating a GIF was a bit easier since we had learned about GIF animation in our Typography class. However, completing the third task was a mix of fun and exhaustion, especially because I wasn't feeling well at the time. Staying awake during the assignment was a struggle, but I managed to submit it on time, bringing a sense of relief and satisfaction.
In summary, this module has been like a guide, teaching us how to use basic tools and colors in AI software to express visual storytelling through illustration. The emphasis on ensuring viewers can understand the story just by looking at the presented artwork is a crucial lesson. I appreciate the guidance provided by our lecturer, Mr. Hafiz, throughout the module. His support significantly enhanced our learning experience. This module has not only sharpened our thinking skills but has also encouraged self-learning. I'm grateful for the new experiences gained and look forward to more in the future.
